Task: Fictional non-profit organization Creatives, which works in the field of art education, needed a corporate identity system which was bold, appealing to a young audience, and which reflected the company’s commitment to the arts. Required items include the usual stationery (business card, letterhead, envelope) plus a tri-fold brochure and a postcard.
Process: Corporate identity systems are the bread-and-butter of a graphic designer, and the challenge is always to keep them interesting despite being the every-day items a corporation will use. The first step was creating the logo, which I arrived at after messing around with paint-splatter brushes in Photoshop. The splatter was vectorized, and a color as energetic as the splatter itself was chosen.
