Task: Design a logo and business card for a baker and cake decorator.

Process: Lydia and I had talked about creating a logo and cards for her cake design business for some time, but it wasn’t until an offhand comment about her love of 50s-style dresses that I finally found the inspiration for her brand. Based on the typography of 1950s food packaging, the logo can be paired with stylized banners and faux-distressing for a fun and retro look.

Since Lydia’s primary communication vehicle is her Facebook page, I whipped up a series of avatars for her to use to keep the theme going.
